This year it was in the beautiful city of Riga, Latvia. The full program for the event can be seen here:

The conference was an amazing opportunity to connect and discuss with others in our industry through presentations, workshops and break-out sessions. demonstrating and showcasing technical solutions and services to make our Emergency Number Network system better.

Plus the company was awesome and food was delicious!

There were presentations from many entities, including global players Apple, who emphasized what ELi has been saying all along about our Emergency Services…they should have the right technology and tools:

ELi’s Peter Woodford also had the privilege to present at this years conference…on Thursday Oct 7th.

The topic this year was: Location in Next Generation Emergency Communications

The session addressed an important subject, when implementing Next Generation emergency communications on how can we ensure the efficient provision of accurate location information to a PSAP.

There were 3, 15 minute presentations. Chaired by: Freddie McBride, Director of Digital Communications Policy and Regulation, EENA

  • Michael Pröstler, CEO as GridGears GmbH - “Location Information in Next Generation 112”

  • Deepti Bharti, Director of Software Engineering and R&D at Creativity Software - “Next Generation Location intelligence for Emergency Services”

  • Peter Woodford, Founder and CEO at ELi Technology Inc. – “A Tag-Based Methodology for Caller Location in Next Generation 112”

It was a fantastic opportunity and an important discussion point, reiterating our belief that location underpins not just the current ESN, but Next Generation too.

“If they can’t find you, they can’t help you”

A big thank you to everyone who helped our team whilst over there in Riga. Thanks to EENA for organizing and bringing everyone together after a long period of remote meetings, and thank you to those who spent time talking and listening with us.

We’ll see you next year!
